In the G.O. 1st read above, orders were issued delegating the powers to the Director General and Inspector General of Police, to sanction of Special Disability Leave to the police personnel for a period not exceeding 12 months subject to fulfillment of the conditions referred to under F.R. 83(1) (2) (3).
2. The Director General of Police, A.P., Hyderabad in his letter 2nd read above, has informed that as the Director General of Police would be totally preoccupied with matters concerning Law & Order and other security related matters in the State, it is felt that it would be in the interests of the Police Personnel, if the powers for sanction of Special Disability Leave are delegated to an officer of the rank of Addl.DGP. Therefore, for speedy disposal of claims relating to sanction of Special Disability Leave to Police personnel, the Director General of Police, A.P., Hyderabad has requested the Government to re-delegate the powers already vested with him, for sanction of Special Disability Leave upto (12) months, in favour of Addl.DGP (Personnel) who deals with subjects concerning service matters like regularization of service, declaration of probation, deputation on foreign service, leave etc., of police personnel upto the rank of Inspector of Police.
3. Government after careful examination, accept the proposal of the Director General of Police, Hyderabad and hereby re-delegate the powers already vested with the Director General of Police, Hyderabad, for sanction of Special Disability Leave upto (12) months, in favour of Additional Director General of Police (Personnel), who deals with subjects concerning service matters like regularization of service, declaration of probation, deputation on foreign service, leave etc., of police personnel upto the rank of Inspector of Police.
4. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance (FR.I) Department, vide their U.O.No.13313/ 248/ FR.I/2011, dated 1.7.2011.
